Buffing Wood Floor Oil – What It Is & Why It Matters
Buffing is the process of working oil into the surface of the wood using a white pad and a floor buffer (or by hand for smaller areas). It helps push the oil deep into the grain and ensures an even, consistent finish.
Proper buffing:
Improves adhesion and durability of the finish
Helps prevent patchy or over-oiled areas
Enhances the natural look and feel of the wood
Whether you're using Rubio Monocoat, Woca Diamond Oil, or other oils, buffing is a crucial part of the process — and it doesn’t need to be complicated.
